| Qualifications/Job Description Payroll/HR Specialist Reporting Relationship: Director of Human Resources Position Overview: Under general supervision, the Payroll/HR Specialist is responsible for the processes related to the payroll function including oversight of electronic time entry, payroll processing, government reporting, and compliance with all regulatory standards and university policies and procedures. The position also provides general support in the areas of compensation, benefits administration, and employee data maintenance. Major Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
Requirements: Associate’s degree with 5 years of payroll experience, or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor’s degree, Certified Payroll Professional certification, ADP software experience, and experience working in a higher education setting is highly preferred. Strong analytical ability, customer service focused, ability to meet deadlines, and highly organized. General understanding of human resources, compensation management, and benefits administration needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
